Safety Precautions for Using Screw Air Compressors

During the operation of a screw air compressor, strict adherence to the equipment's operating protocols is essential to ensure both operational safety and equipment stability. Prior to startup, it is necessary to verify the power supply, voltage, lubricant oil level, and the integrity of all connections; furthermore, one must confirm that the cooling system and air filtration unit are in good working order to prevent equipment failure caused by insufficient oil, blockages, or electrical anomalies.

 

While the equipment is in operation, operators should continuously monitor the discharge pressure, operating temperature, and motor status to prevent conditions such as overpressure or overheating. Operators must not arbitrarily dismantle safety valves, pressure sensors, or other protective devices; additionally, the compressor room must be kept well-ventilated to ensure that high-temperature environments do not compromise the equipment's heat dissipation efficiency. Should any abnormal noises, vibrations, or oil leaks be detected, the unit must be shut down immediately for inspection to prevent the fault from escalating.

 

Regarding routine maintenance, the lubricant, air filter elements, and oil-gas separators should be replaced periodically to ensure internal cleanliness and effective lubrication. When shutting down the unit for maintenance or repair, it is imperative to first disconnect the power supply and release all internal system pressure to prevent safety accidents associated with working under pressure. Furthermore, the area surrounding the equipment must be kept clear of flammable and explosive materials, and all maintenance and servicing tasks should be performed by qualified professionals to enhance the operational safety and extend the service life of the screw air compressor.
